This is our son Sam. He's 4 1/2. His name means "prayed for" based on 1 Sam. 1:20b. He was prayed for well before we found out we were going to have him. He loves camping, going on hikes, playing football and basketball, cooking/baking, and prays for the Polar Express every night (after seeing it last year at IMAX). Little does he know, the dvd is on it's way here for Christmas and it's coming back out in IMAX this weekend. Sam makes us laugh all the time and picks up things so quick that it amazes both Ed and I. He loves preschool. He adores his sister and loves on her and fights with her (out of love of course). He's his own little person and will defend what he says to the bitter end, even if he's wrong. Our hearts explode with love for him every day.

This is our princess, Alina. Her name means beautiful, and that is exactly what she is and radiates every day. She is now 20 months old and is such a joy to have in our home. She loves her big brother, Sam and her dollies. She is such a joy to raise and experience life with. So much of my laughter comes from being with her.
